Music Creation: Projects and Songs

The Harder Road Of Grace The Harder Road Of Grace:
Musical reflections on the narrow way of life. Songs are inspired by the lessons we learn each day on this road of life, stories of missionaries from Asia, reflections on the tragedy and injustice that exist in places like Burma and India and lessons I have learned from Old and New Testament writings. These songs encompass a five year period of time, many of them are trials and triumphs simply put to song.

Psalm Meditations Psalm Meditations:
A meeting of eastern and western instrumentation. On this Psalm project instruments like the sitar, tampura and tabla are melded with the acoustic guitar, djembe and keyboards to create a new fusion of psalm music. Mixing the ancient and the modern, enjoy the Psalms in a fresh, ancient way. As the psalms originated from the east, listen to them with an eastern sound.

Road of the Heart

What road will you take in life? I remember seeing a picture when I was growing up in a book, it was of two people returning from journeys. One looked dead the other looked older and seasoned. They were returning from different roads, the roads came together at the end.

In a way, all roads lead to one, but you still have a choice in the heart that determines the direction of your life at the end of that road. We will all stand before the Creator of the universe at the end of our life, the choice we have taken for the road of our heart will be clearly evident.

There is a story of two criminals that were on either side of Christ during His crucifixtion. One criminal chose to despise the Christ hanging on the cross next to Him, the other criminal recognized that he was guilty and the Christ hanging on the cross next to Him was innocent. That criminal simply turned to Christ and asked Him to "remember me when you come into your kindgom", and the Christ replied "today you will be with Me in paradise".

Three Crosses

Three Crosses Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, "He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the Chosen One."

The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar and said, "If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself."

There was a written notice above him, which read:|sc THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!"

But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."

Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."

Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."
